Controlling access into any building where the area is unguarded
can be difficult. Even with access control on a door it is possible
for somebody to ‘Tailgate’ so undermining the security systems.

Turnstiles UK It is possible to impose
greater securtiy and control
by installing turnstile
access control at the
main entry points into a
building. These can take
the form of mid height,
full height or even monitored
versions for monitoring
anti-pass-back routines.
Ansador prides itself in
having installed many
such systems in London
and the home counties
over the last few years.

Controlling access into the main or rear entrance of a building is
key to providing a secure environment.
Choosing the correct and most appropriate turnstile can be
difficult. Ansador will provide you with advice to ensure
the correct choice of turnstile. Here are a few questions
and pointers to choosing the best and most effective type of
turnstile.
  • How many people use the building? As a rough guide you
can assume one lane will handle about 150 to 200 people
assuming they are set up to be bi-directional.

  • You can choose from tripod style, drop arm type,
swing gate, pass agate in both stainless steel, glass or even mid
steel.

    • What sort of environment is It.? If it’s a construction site
then we suggest the more functional trip type in a powdered
    coated finish.

    • Would you like the turnstiles to fail to an open position on
    a fire alarm activation?
      •  How do you want the them to operate? Usually by card,
or even finger print recognition. http://www.ansador.co.uk/

        • Would you like to be alerted if somebody tries to tailgate
        through the turnstile?
Some of the systems offer this feature and can provide an impulse
to an local alarm, CCTV camera or pager perhaps.

          • Would you like reception to be able override the system with a
          remote push button?
Our technical surveyors will provide advice on the most
appropriate type of model to choose from for your particular
